I don’t have say much when it comes to Meredith & Rene’s wedding because the images speak for themselves. Their classic and timeless wedding was held at The Orlo House in Tampa Florida. Not only did this venue enhance their chic and romantic style as a couple but it is located in Downtown Tampa with copious amounts of photo locations to choose from. From their personal style to decor, you can see the incredible taste that both the Bride & Groom have.
Now, one of the biggest misconceptions many people have is that I just show up with a camera and start taking pictures. However, that couldn’t be farther from the truth. In reality, I spend myriads amount of time prepping prior to the wedding. For this instance, I scheduled a time to meet with Meredith weeks prior to her wedding to talk about wedding details. We met up a coffee shop for some latte’s and got down to business. With my handy planner and journal we were able to structure a timeline unique to her needs. Through our talk I was able to see that she wanted to get all her portraits done prior to the ceremony because once the event began, she wanted to be present and enjoy it fully — we did just that.
Rene and Meredith had many moments that were specific and unique to them. On the day of the wedding I started off hanging out with girls and capturing them getting ready. I laid back and was a fly on the wall as the moments unfolded naturally and would click away when I noticed those subtle candid moments between the bride and her tribe. Once the ladies were done with hair and makeup we stepped outside for a couple robe portraits on the porch. I love getting to do this with the bridal party because it warms them up to being in front of the camera.
However, one of my most favorite moments would have to be when Meredith and Rene included their four-legged baby Charlie into their wedding photos. As a huge dog lover, I was over the moon. Not only were we able to grab stunning images of the bride and groom but we were also able to incorporate their precious baby boy. If you’re thinking about including your dog to your portrait session the answer is always YES!
Another one of my favorite touches from Rene and Merediths wedding was their coffee bar! Not only was it a huge hit with the guest (and vendors) but it was actually delicious. Those extra boost of caffeine allowed for the dance floor to be packed the entire night.
All in all, I loved how Meredith and Rene stay true to themselves. They knew they wanted to keep everything classy but fun and that’s exactly what they did.
