Areli and Douglas fall wedding at Matheson Hammock Park was one for the books! The day began at the Dadeland Marriott where Areli and her bridesmaids were getting ready. While the hair and makeup artist were putting their final touches, I was able to take her details and begin to photograph them. One of my favorite part of this wedding was the attention to detail – the colorful flowers, personalized vows, vintage cars, and scenic pavilion.
At the ceremony, Areli was escorted by her mother and grandmother. Her father served as the officiant who married them. Areli and Douglas also broke bread and drank whine as a symbol of love and devotion to themselves and their faith. All these moments made for a sweet ceremony filled with memorable moments.
After they were pronounced Man and Wife, Areli and Douglas began their bridal portraits posing near a vintage Lincoln. It was absolutely beautiful. The combination of their chic style next to the classic convertible made for stunning portraits of the two.
They were then joined by their bridal party for formal portraits. When photographing bridal portraits I love to get a mixture of both candid and poses photos. This allows for my clients to get the best of both worlds. I begin by placing them in order and then having them follow prompts.
There were so many moments that made this a beautiful wedding. After Areli and Douglas first dance, the bride shared an emotional dance with her father. Douglas and his mother then rocked the dance floor while they danced to Blue Velvet. The bride and groom were also surprised with a Mariachi band who came to preform for them.
All in all, it was a gorgeous wedding that ended with an epic fireworks exit.
