What To Look For In A Wedding Photographer
Yes! You’re engaged!!! I’m sure there’s a million things running through your head at the moment so let me give you some tips in what to look for in a wedding photographer.
Hi, I’m Joanna and have been a wedding photographer for the past 7 years in Tampa, Florida. I specialize in capturing real moments with a splash of editorial touch. And after having being part of over 100 weddings I want to share what I believe is important when searching for your perfect photographer. So, listen up and save this blog because these tips will will surly come in handy when it’s your time to book.
Tip #1 is ask to see a full wedding gallery. Look, the truth is Instagram, Tik Tok, and social media in general lets you curate a feed that showcases the best of the best. However, seeing full wedding galleries will give you a better idea of what to expect in your final gallery. Questions like these are what you should be asking yourself while reviewing them: Do you like their editing style? How do they make you feel? Can you see the consistency in their style? How would you feel if this was your final gallery?
Look at reviews! Sometimes people refer photographers because they’re popular, they’re a friend, or because they clicked on an ad. But what do their past clients have to say? Make sure you do your homework and look up recent reviews on Google, The Knot, Facebook, and Wedding Wire to see what type of person you’re hiring to document your day.
Ask for a phone call. Hopping on a call will allow you to see if there’s chemistry between you both. Yes, this is important because other than your new spouse, you will be spending most of your day with your photographers. This is why connection is IMPERATIVE.
What do other vendors have to say about them? This is BIG because when you have a team that works well together you have struck ⭐️GOLD⭐️. Ask your wedding planner if they have any preferred wedding photographers that they’d be willing to recommend. This will save you SO MUCH TIME.
Really look at their editing style and composition and ask yourself if you’d be proud to have these similar images. If so, I think you’ve found your match.
I hope these tips will help you while one your search for your perfect wedding day photographer. Never be afraid of to ask questions. Remember, this is your day, so having someone who understands your vision and can make them come to life is EVERYTHING!
Great Tips!!! Algunas cosas de esas ni pasan por la cabeza de uno. Y es bueno tenerlo en mente. Let’s do the Homework 💪🏻🙌🏻
